With a hit song sitting at number one on the country music charts, Gavin McNeer thought he finally had everything he ever wanted.
All it takes is one look from the mesmerizing woman sitting in the front row at one of his shows and a brief encounter to make him realize just what he’s been missing. Even though he’s been burnt in the past, Gavin puts his inhibitions aside and his heart on the line to earn the trust of the woman who could be his everything.

Working in an industry where relationships start and end in the blink of an eye, Alyson Dawson has made it her mission not to get mixed up with musicians, no matter how good-looking they are. Keeping her focus on her blossoming career and clients, Aly doesn’t even have time to date much less fall in love. That is until she meets Gavin, a man who changes everything with one smoldering look.

Just when these two begin to settle into their new relationship, Aly is asked to do something that may require her to choose between the career she’s building and the man she’s falling in love with. To make things worse, Gavin’s ex decides to add a touch of drama to an already delicate situation.

Will their love survive, or become just another sad love song?

RATING 4.5 STARS

Love at The Bluebird is a stand alone romance by Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin. The heroine in this book, Aly, is the younger sister of Valerie from Until Valerie, by Jessica Marin, part of the Kindle Worlds: Happily Ever Alpha series. But you do not need to have read Until Valerie to read this.

bluebird cafe

Alyson (Aly) Dawson is twenty-three years old and has her dream job working as an assistant for a small record label in Nashville. She works crazy hours so doesn’t have much time for a social life. She prefers to spend her nights off at home with her cat and a romance novel. She has made a promise to herself, though, not to date anyone within the music industry. But, that all fell apart that night at the Bluebird Café when she first saw “him!”

400 × 264

Gavin McNeer is respected in Nashville as a song writer and has just released his own first single and it is sky rocketing in the charts! Gavin recently got out of a toxic relationship and has had no interest in dating since. On the night he was scheduled to perform at the Bluebird, he took his seat, began to sing, and his eyes landed on her, a woman he couldn’t look away from.

“This woman has captivated me like no one else has ever before. I need to know the identity of the woman I can’t take my eyes off of.”

Gavin knows that somehow this woman is going to be important to him. No, he wasn’t looking for a relationship right now, but what he is feeling for this woman he doesn’t even know cancels out everything from the past. All he sees is the future, with her.

“There’s something about him, and my heart is telling me to give him a chance.”

Both Gavin and Aly fall fast and hard. But with paparazzi, conniving bosses, and an ex that isn’t happy being replaced by someone new, their new relationship is tested.

“You fit perfectly in my arms, like you were made for me.”

Books like this are my reason for breathing. I live for those electric first glances when their eyes meet and hold. Gavin got all the swoons. I mean, he’s a country music star with morals. And I loved the way he pursued Aly. I also loved that she jumped in with him. I’m not a fan of push and pull. Even though dating someone in her own industry was against what she believed was right, she saw something there that she couldn’t walk away from.

This was a sweet, sexy, so enjoyable book. These two were perfect together. Now I’m going to have to read Until Valerie to get Aly’s sister’s story.

Well it's honestly no surprise how much I loved that book. It was classic Aurora Rose Reynolds with a musical twist. Not to take away from Jessica Marin because she just became an author for me to stalk after reading the magic these two created together.

Gavin was everything I expect from a leading man from Boom Publishing. He had jealous and possessive down. And I loved that he went out of his way to make Aly feel special and to let her know he was thinking about her. Along with his very public declarations to make sure she and everyone else knew he was all in.

But Aly was perfection on her own. She trusted how she felt about Gavin and she went with it. And even when things weren't going well she took a step back and thought it through and trusted in what she believed and felt. I loved that about her. Yeah she was upset and she went off to regroup but she didn't blow things out of proportion or automatically assume that everything was as it seemed. She just sat back and processed it.

Naturally the chemistry was burning off the pages. I felt their connection and I loved the fact they didn't pay attention to anyone else's thoughts on how they should feel or act. They were so great together, I inhaled this book and now I just wish I could read it for the first time all over again.

Sweet, cute and sexy romantic read, fast paced, dual pov.
Gavin and Aly were perfect for each other, shared a great chemistry and deep feelings.
It was too sweet for me, the ending was rushed and there was no originality in this story.

I'm a big fan of the possessive hero. It's really hard to find one that isn't over the top or not enough. This one was just right. It is also insta-love and a super fast romance. I love that instant attraction, but I also like a little bit of slow burn. Overall, I really enjoyed the sweet and low angst of their story.

5 ‘ Permanent Mark On My Heart’ Stars

Awwww…. Love At The Bluebird is the definition of sweetness and steamy romance personified! This ARR and JM collaboration gave us one of the most beautiful and ‘feel good’ love stories I’ve ever read. Truly a master combo and a must read!!! Loved every single second of it!

Gavin and Aly… Talk about destined soulmates! That insta connection, but the combo with the slow developing relationship, I adored all about it.

This woman has captivated me like no one else has ever before.

She’s my new drug of choice and her high is one I never want to come down from.

That first meeting at the Bluebird was just such a magical moment, I could feel I was right there with them both, in their own little bubble. It was that beautifully portrayed.

Gavin’s desperation and anxiety to get to Aly, and ascertain that connection, was palpable, and knowing that she acknowledged it, and was open to discover what could come of it, just made the story much organic and endearing!

She’s made a permanent mark on my heart and has the power to completely destroy it.

Love is magical, torturous, beautiful, and hard.

Even with the county music star theme, it’s incredible for me how I felt both of these characters were so relatable. Gavin and Aly were so adorably sweet and sexy together, I couldn’t get enough of their slowly developing love story. And specially with how enchanted they were with one another…

Good Lord, that man has cast a spell over me!

Something beautiful that just might last forever.

The relationship development, the amazing love story, all the steamy moments, an definite Alpha of a male character in Gavin, and an incredibly sweet and yet strong in Aly, and so many fantastic and potential filled secondary characters – omg, that Willow Mayson teaser left me DYING for her tale!!! -, Love At The Bluebird is now one of my favorite reads of this year, and one of the best author collaborations I’ve had the pleasure of devouring. I’m seriously stalking and hoping Ms. Reynolds and Ms. Marin won’t stop here with their duo and give us ALL the unforgettable love stories!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

The connection we have is raw, hungry, passionate… meaningful.

Gavin McNeer better be mine to keep for the rest of my life, because he’s completely ruined me for anyone else.

I’ve never felt this connected with someone, mind, body, and soul.

Loved every minute of this one. Perfect book at a time I needed it most. From time to time a light-hearted and fun-to-read book is just what the doctor and the weather calls for.

With the Nashville music scene in the backdrop and an open mic-night at the famous Bluebird Cafe, Gavin, the man making the music, captured my heart right along with Aly’s.

Truly devoted to each other, Gavin and Aly are melodiously in sync with one another through every step of this new budding romance. Even when tested by a little crazy ex-girlfriend games, it doesn’t take long to put things in order and realize they are meant for one another and loyalty rules.
Two delightful characters with some entertaining side characters, too, this was a fast-paced, sexy and light-hearted read. If those fit your criteria, give this quick read a chance.

Spoilers ahead, 2 * rounded up because I'm really just unsure of how I feel about this book

ARR is a go to/definite buy author for me but something didn't quite work for me here

Gavin is a country music singer and songwriter, Aly works as an assistant at another company.
They meet at a work event and the connection is immediate
They get to know each other a bit then badda bing badda boom they're together
Obstacles to their hea in the form of Gavin's bitchy ex and a secret Aly kept that caused Gavin to react badly
Growly Alpha hero
Eventually they got to their hea
Lots of secondary characters who I assume (hope) will get their own stories told

I didn't like the way the conflict unraveled, a typical ARR hero is undone by his woman's tears dammit she doesn't need to protest her innocence while he walks away!

At one point when nothing much was happening I looked down at my kindle location and I thought "maybe it's so long because there's a secondary romance?" That's not the feeling I usually get with ARR so I'm hoping a reread will improve my rating

No cheating
OW drama from H's ex who made it look like they'd had sex
Both non virgins
H didn't appear to be a manwhore

Love at the Bluebird by Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin is the story of Alyson 'Aly' Dawson and Gavin McNeer. Alyson happens to be the younger sister of Valerie from Jessica Martin's story 'Until Valerie' but you don't have to have read that book to enjoy this one. I just thought that was helpful information for us that love to connect our books with other characters. Alyson is a career girl who is working as an assistant for a record label in Nashville. Of course she knows the score on musicians and dating so she isn't interested in that. Alyson prefers her romance books and cats at home then to go through that struggle of music romance. But then the Bluebird Cafe happened where she sees Gavin. Gavin is set in his own right as a song writer but has taken the leap into signing. Gavin has been burned by a bad relationship so he too isn't looking for another one but then he spots Alyson. There is an instant desire and feelings he hasn't nor she has felt before. Of course things don't go easy for them. Really enjoyed this book and both author's writing.

*REVIEW* ❤❤❤
I was torn about what to say in regards to Love At The Bluebird. On one hand, this story is an easy charming read with that romcom chicklit appeal that I love. It's pleasant reading basically. On the other hand, the story is formulaic. Aly and Gavin have insta love, some drama, hea, etc. I knew the ending from the start, so originality was definitely lacking. While it's not my favorite, I did enjoy the story. I know this story will appeal to many romance readers.

My muse

Two amazingly talented authors in their own right, but put them together and you’ve got a sexy, sweet instant fall in love at first sight.

When Gavin Mcneer stepped into the small stage at the Blueberry to perform he had no clue it’d be to his future. Seeing Aly in that room he knew instinctively she was his future.

Aly’s one rule, don’t date people in the music industry. That soon becomes null in void when she locks eyes with Gavin. The insane chemistry between these two is intense.

With minimal drama and no cheating these two will have to endure a romance that’s under the spotlight, an ex girlfriend who just can’t stay away and a record label that will try to blacklist him.

An over the top alpha and his shy sexy muse. Get ready to fall in love at The Bluebird!

All about the BOOM!!! Aurora and Jessica bring everything you love about their books to the table in this one. I just loved how confident Gavin was and not afraid to tell the world about Aly. I loved that Aurora brought in Willow Mayson as Aly’s best friend, cause I just love me some Mayson’s!!! Super cute quick read.

Gavin McNeer has a hit song and his career is taking off and so are the fans. He isn't interested in any of them but when he sees Alyson Dawson at an event at the Bluebird Cafe he is instantly smitten. The more he spends time with Aly the more he knows she is his one, but what happens when a curve ball threatens to tear them apart?

Loved this, very different then the other books that these authors have written. The build up is intense and you never have a wavering doubt about the chemistry. This is a book to pick up and grab a blanket, cup of coffee and settle in for the day. Excellent.

Gavin and Alyson are insta-love.

Sort of.

And, well, I am not always the biggest fan of insta-love, but one thing I discovered in this title is that I really struggle with insta-love when it can't decide if that is the direction it is going. Parts of the story felt like it, but in others, it felt like we were going along on a ride of 2 people falling in love...and back to insta-love again.

The jumping in the pace of this title made me not able to really connect with the characters or their relationship.

I am not able to recommend this title.

I didn’t really enjoy this as much as I thought I would have. ARR is my romance queen and I’m used to being swept away into her writing. Now, this was co-written and I get that. I’m also not saying that there is something wrong with the other authors writing. I’m just trying to say that I went into this with high hopes because one of my favorite authors wrote this, but I was quite let down. The story and characters were just meh and okay. Nothing wrong with them but also nothing that makes them stand out. *shrugs shoulders*

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

I've been a fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds for some time now and this book with Jessica Marin did not disappoint. This is a rock star romance with some fun and laughter as well as a smidge of drama. This was a quick read that was just a dash of spicy.

It feels like there will be follow-up books with other characters in this book. I'm definitely here for them!!

Sweet story.
Although the couple are sort of insta, they do get to know each other and they have obstacles to overcome to be together.
Other woman drama in form of his ex.
No cheating.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Secondary characters introduced for further books by author.
Music industry background but not a man-whore Hero.
HEA.
Epilogue and later epilogue.

I know my rating says 5 stars but it's really 4.7 because, reasons.

I absolutely adore an insta romance story that delivers on romance! That may not make sense LOL Maybe this will … when Alyson and Gavin both laid eyes on each other it was instant chemistry for them both but we didn’t just get an insta plot, we got a heartfelt journey! It was glorious! I’ve read very little Aurora books and none by Jessica, so I don’t have a benchmark for either author, but this story impressed me. It’s a laid back, easy story that will make your heart sing! The conflict was a bit predictable to me but I was just so happy with both Gavin and Aly as characters that I didn’t care LOL Well done ladies!!!

Buuuuuuut ….. I’m putting this next part of my review as a spoiler, not because it spoils anything, but because if you don’t want to read my rant about something no one but me probably cares about, then don’t read it LOL

Gavin is a sexy singer, song writer at the start of his career who has grown accustomed to being surrounded by women in the music industry when he meets Aly, a PA at a competing record label, who is not looking for romance while she focuses on her career. At a chance meeting at one of Gavin’s performances, Aly and Gavin find instant attraction with a side of music industry drama which has the reader questioning if this couple can overcome the obstacles that keep coming in there way. This was my first book by both these authors and I thoroughly enjoyed every page, every word. This story had me sucked in and fully invested in how this story would pan out for the characters.

Gavin and Aly have an instant connection when they meet by chance. This connection then blossoms into professional drama which drives this story. Gavin is a music artist while Aly is a PA for a competing record label. As everything unfolds, I was left wondering if they would how it would all work out and if they truly could have a HEA. But you will have to read this book to find out for yourself!

As my first book by both authors, I found this to be the perfect introduction to their writing styles. I loved every moment of it and can't wait to read other books by each one.

This is my second Aurora Rose Reynolds book this week, and boy, did I LOVE this one! This book didn't even have one of ARR's signature alpha males, but I sure loved Gavin, the main character.

Gavin's an up and coming country singer and songwriter, living in Nashville. He agrees to play at the famous Bluebird Cafe, where singers and songwriters go to perform (it's a real place; I've seen stories about it - it's very cool). While performing, he locks eyes with Alyson Dawson and he's done. He knows he has seen the love of his life.

Alyson works in the music industry, and knows what musicians are like, but Gavin is so different. He was such an amazing character that there were times he seemed way too good to be true, but he really was! I loved Gavin so much He's my new book boyfriend.

There are lots of characters that we've seen before (some Mayson's, and I just read Aly's sister's book, called Until Valerie).  There were some new characters as well, like Gavin's cousin Sosie. She was a really interesting character.

The story was sweet, and a little predictable, but it was still a very enjoyable story. I would highly recommend this book.

This was such an amazing book! I’m a big fan of both ARR & Jessica, so the two of them writing together is like a dream come true!
When I read Until Valerie I was intrigued by Aly & Gavin and I was so excited to see they got their own book! It’s so perfectly sweet & over the top! I loved their “shazam” moment! And I loved watching them fall in love!
There was the perfect touch of dramatics, but the really big win for me were the side characters! I’m glad we got to see Willow Mayson (I NEED her book!) & Sosie is so adorable! I really hope we get to see more of her!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”This man is a master of words, making women swoon with the poetry in his songs. How can I tell if he’s being sincere? Talk is cheap, so his actions will determine if he’s being real or if he’s stringing me along like one of his guitars.”✨
.
Gavin is a chart topping country music star who seems to have it all. He doesn’t realize what he’s missing until he locks eyes with a mesmerizing woman at one of his shows. Alyson has a blossoming career in the music industry with a strict mission not to mix business with pleasure. But their chemistry is too hot to ignore. Trouble in the form of Alyson’s boss and Gavin’s ex, add a touch of drama to their newly formed relationship. Can their love survive?✨
.
If you love:
•Country Star romance
•Love at first sight
•Quick reads
•Charming Alphas
•Dual POV
Then this is the book for you!✨

I was really excited for this book, being a lover of country music. And I mean, if you know country, you know what the Bluebird is. I was instantly intrigued by the title. And I wasn’t disappointed. This book was super sweet. It’s one of those love at first sight romance stories that you can’t help but adore.✨
.
Gavin is that classic country star charmer. He could spit charm, you know the kind? I felt it was a bit over the top at times. But let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to hear all that charming sweet nothings from their man!? Aly was sweet, bubbly and quite enjoyable. Their chemistry was off the charts. Their relationship fast and furious. And by furious I mean hot and steamy. I guess when you know, you know, am I right!? It had very little drama. Just a light, sweet, quick & easy, enjoyable read!✨

This was a sweet romance with a touch of ex-drama, but nothing OTT. I absolutely loved how intense Gavin was but Aly was just a tad too nice for my taste. Still, I enjoyed reading their love story!

Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my automatic 1-click authors! I will read absolutely anything she writes but Jessica Marin is a new to me author and I just adored these two as a writing duo. Their writing is flawless, easy to read and pulls you in instantly. I was immediately invested in these characters and their story. Gavin and Aly meet and their connection is instant. I loved them so much and couldn’t get enough.

Gavin is the ultimate musician heart throb who make all the girls swoon but when he meets Aly there is something different about her that he is drawn to immediately. He has all the characteristics that I look for, sweet, sexy, swoony. He has it all.

Aly is a force. She is driven and successful in her career not letting herself loose focus on her goals. She is also super bubbly and cheerful. She is full of positivity and light and I adored that about her.

There is a touch of drama but not over the top or over done. Overall I enjoyed this quick paced, insta love story and recommend reading it. 4 stars!

❤~🌟~❤ 4.5 DAZZLING STARS! ❤~🌟~❤

“Gavin McNeer better be mine to keep for the rest of my life, because he’s completely ruined me for anyone else.”

LOVE AT THE BLUEBIRD had me hooting and hollering and stomping my feet like a star-stuck fangirl! I have been an admirer of Aurora Rose Reynolds for a long time but this is my first read by Jessica Marin and I must stay that this collaboration was absolutely STUPENDOUS! The heroine of this book may be familiar to some readers because Aly appeared as a secondary character in UNTIL VALERIE by Ms. Marin, part of the Kindle Worlds: Happily Ever Alpha series. But I did not read that book and can fully attest that this story works as a complete standalone!

PREMISE:
23-year-old Alyson Dawson has finally landed her dream job as an assistant for a record label in Nashville. She is very driven and ambitious and has made her career her main focus which means that dating and a social life have taken a major backseat. And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will she ever become romantically entangled with someone in the music industry. But all that changes when she locks eyes with Gavin McNeer one night while catching his star-studded performance at the Bluebird Café!

Gavin is a talented songwriter who has just dropped his first single which has catapulting his career to meteoric heights. However, this new heartthrob of country music recently endured a bad breakup and is rather jaded in matters of the heart. But the vision before him in the crowd literally takes his breath away. Gavin HAS to know this exuberant beauty at all costs. And while Aly at first is a bit gun-shy, their magnetic attraction cannot be denied, and they quickly fall under each other’s spell. Before they know it, Gavin and Aly are both swept up in a whirlwind love affair, but their passionate union comes with a set of obstacles that neither envisioned. Will they risk everything to make beautiful music together or are they doomed to be a one hit wonder?

MY MUSINGS:
Oh be still my crazily beating heart! LOVE AT THE BLUEBIRD had me hooked from start to finish! Aurora Rose Reynolds and Jessica Marin’s styles were in sync like a finely tuned guitar and I was TOTALLY enraptured by this musical-themed romance!

This sweet, sexy and utterly spellbinding insta-love tale truly contained everything I dream of in a captivating novel —a beautifully crafted plot, engaging writing, vibrant, endearing protagonists, blistering passion, charm, wit and juicy melodrama galore!

Holy effing swoon! Our hero, Gavin, is a drop-dead gorgeous heartthrob made in storybook heaven! He is tall, strappingly handsome, gentlemanly to the core, speaks with a sexy Texan drawl …and is 100% TAKE CHARGE ALPHA! This country crooner has been hurt in love before and was NOT in the market for love but gah it’s like lightning struck when he met Aly. I swear the way he pursues the gal of his dreams made me weak in the knees and had my pulse racing! He is SO enamored with and protective of his girl that it was just such a glorious thing to behold.

As for Aly, what a doll who is fully worthy of his unbridled devotion! She’s beautiful , sweet, vivacious, and so driven and spirited. And I really dug the fact that this heroine is real and relatable, a hopeless optimist, and radiates warmth and happiness. While at first she has a bit of a moral dilemma about getting entangled with this charismatic country sensation, her trepidation proves to be no match for this man who stakes a claim on her heart! And after one toe curling kiss, walking away is no longer an option!

Sighhh..these two are just so FREAKING ADORABLE together I couldn’t stop smiling ! Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and their emotional connection is equally electrifying! Granted they fall for each other hard and fast but I was totally invested in their romance and rooted for them every step of the way!

I think the authors also did a spectacular job with the Nashville musical biz storyline , and weaved in a spectacular set of colorful secondary characters into the mix which beautifully supplements the central romance. I especially liked how Aly and Gavin’s family and friends rally around them during some tumultuous times. And while these two have some definite bumps in the road enroute to the HEA—including devious outside influences, miscommunication, and some juicy music biz scandal which collectively threaten to sabotage their budding romance—ultimately the way their story plays out left me on cloud nine!

BOTTOM LINE:
LOVE AT THE BLUEBIRD is a wildly addictive, scorching hot page turner that made my heart sing with glee!

A MUST READ!

Love at The Bluebird has completely enchanted me just like the lyrics of a beautiful and touching song that speaks to your heart and soul. It's a story about an upcoming country songwriter and singer who falls for a gorgeous woman who is also working in the industry. The story takes place in the city of music - Nashville, Tennessee. This amazing book had it all: from an engaging and entertaining plot, great dialogue, charming setting and intriguing and relatable characters.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my unicorns and an automatic one-click since years. Her talent for writing insta-love stories with sweet, adorable heroines and sexy, possesive Alpha heroes that go under your skin is in my opinion unsurpassed. When I heard that she is co-writing a book for Boom Factory Publishing together with Jessica Marin my interest was immediately piqued. The blurb and stunning cover made me absolutely giddy to get my hands on it. And let me tell you that these ladies did a really great job!

Gavin McNeer has made a name for himself in the music industry. He has worked with famous artists and earned a great reputation. After years of writing songs for others he has finally decided to sing and perform his own work. Gavin's career is currently taking off when he has a magical and unforgettable encounter with a beautiful woman sitting in the front row at on of his shows at The Bluebird. There is a magnetic pull towards her he simply can't explain. Gavin feels it in his gut that she is special and that he needs to have her. But in order to earn Aly's love and trust he is going to have to open up his heart and put his fears aside.

Alyson Dawson loves her job as an assistant in the A&R department of a small record label. She has a blossoming career and prefers to not mix business with pleasure. She knows better than to start something with a client. Aly is a homebody who rather stays at home reading and cuddling with her cat Apollo than going out and partying. When she meets Gavin her world is going to be turned upside down. Maintaining a relationship in this industry can be challenging especially if you have trust issues and have been burned before. Can their love survive all the intrigues and gossip or is it going to have an early and sad ending?

Alyson and Gavin had great chemistry that was absolutely palpable. I could feel the sparks flying when they first met. Gavin appreciated that Aly was good-hearted, caring, supportive and honest. She truly loved him for the person he was and not because she wanted to gain something from his fame. Aly couldn't believe that perfect men like Gavin still existed. He was very romantic, attentive and made her smile and feel cherished. These two wonderful and endearing protagonists are going to steal your heart. Mark my words!

I've devoured this little gem within just a few hours. It left a huge, happy smile on my face and made me want to pack up my bag and fly straight to Nashville and go to The Bluebird caffe. Thank you Aurora and Jessica for this 5 star must read! I hope that you're going to give some of the great secondary characters their own stories and HEA.
