Three Treats Block - September's #quiltblockmania

I's the first Tuesday of the Month, so it's time again for another installation of quilt block mania block!

I decided to go with my favorite Halloween thing...CANDY! LOL

My "Three Treats" block is a fast make and very scrappy friendly! It uses hourglass blocks as the wrapper ends, and the best part is that it actually looks cute if they aren't perfect!

Of course I had to whip it up in bright colors! I used Kona Orange, Papaya, Magenta, Limelight, and Flame on a black background. I hardly ever use black fabric because I like the brights, but of course it's a Halloween must!

These two said they are ready for some Halloween candy!

How cute would this be as an 18" pillow? Slap some 3" borders on it and that's what you have!

If you're looking for more Halloween fun, I also have a modern Halloween pattern called Ghouls and Gourds you can check out HERE! Fun fact...the 12" Three Treats block will actually fit in any of the 9 spaces on this quilt too.

You can grab a copy of this THREE TREATS BLOCK PATTERN from the Sew Brainy Designs store!

What Halloween makes are you working on? I'm thinking a table runner with this block is in my future, so stay tuned!

Until later, happy sewing!

Jamie

My favorite quilt blocks are those with simple shapes that are reimagined into fun designs. This sweets block is just perfect!
